1970s Life-Size Promotional Object Made by Nestlé Selling Ice Cream “Glaces”
For decades this human height figure showed the Cote d’Azur crowd how to flock to the best ice cream in the coastal village of Le Pradet in the South of France. “Glaces” means ice cream in French.
With his head consisting mainly of the Nestlé logo and its typical azur blue of the French Midi it drew a lot of attention.
Its frame is made of steel. The fee/shoes, hands and head are made of a hard kind of plastic. As the feet have been weighted down this decorative Nestlé man can stand by itself.
