Beautifully detailed large painting by Jac. Haan, interior architect and former manager of the furniture department of the famous Dutch department store Metz en Co.

The painting depicts a terrace by the ocean. It is a very relaxing and uplifting image. It has been painted on board, with a white wooden frame around it.

Metz en Co was a department store in Amsterdam founded in 1740. Interior designer Jac. Haan got in charge of Metz en Co’s furniture department in 1963. After his retirement he started painting. Being a perfectionist he only made a few works. Haan passed away in 2014.
