Mid-Century Modern Cocoon Pendant Designed, Achille & Pier Castiglioni for Flos
SOLD
Pendant cocoon was designed by Castiglioni for Flos in the 1960s.
Its organic shape projects an ambient light into a room. The structure of the lamp is covered by a highly innovative production technique for the time, a sprayed plastic polymer applied to an enameled metal structure. The series was exhibited in the exhibition “Italy: The new domestic landscape” at the MOMA in New York in 1972.
